Ammonium sulfate can be used as a base fertilizer, a seed fertilizer and a top dressing.
When applying base fertilizer, deep application of soil should be applied to facilitate crop absorption. When applying fertilizer, the application amount should not be too large. Topdressing is the most suitable method of application, and the amount of topdressing of ammonium sulfate should be determined according to different soil types. For soils with poor water retention and fertilizer retention performance, it should be applied in stages, and the dosage should not be too much. For soils with good water retention and fertilizer retention, each dosage should be appropriate. The amount applied depends on the crop yield and the amount of nitrogen in the soil. The amount of soil moisture also has a greater impact on fertilizer efficiency, especially in dry land. When applying ammonium sulfate, it is necessary to pay attention to timely watering. When topdressing in paddy fields, it should be drained and dried first, and attention should be paid to the combination of tillage and application.
Generally suitable for crops such as wheat, corn, rice, painting, fruit trees, vegetables. For soils, ammonium sulphate is most suitable for neutral and alkaline soils and not for acidic soils.
Usage method
Application at the recommended rates will last approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
- GROUND COVER: Broadcast at 2.5kg. per 100 sq. meter.
- SHRUBS & EVERGREENS: Sprinkle 4/5 cup evenly around drip line of plant and work into top 1 meter of soil.
- TREES: Apply 0.7kg .per 1 meter of trunk diameter. Distribute evenly under branches out to drip line.
NOTE: Liquid measuring cups are very close in estimating the weight of dry granular fertilizers.
Example: an 8 oz.(1cup) measuring cup holds approximately 8 oz. of dry granular fertilizer
Storage
As with most solid fertilizers, Ammonium Sulphate
can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in
a cool, dry ,well ventilated area.
